Online payment settings
For you to get paid faster, it is important to accept payments online for your invoices from your customers.
Zoho Invoice, makes it easy for you to accept such online payments. We have integrated our service with PayPal, just follow the instructions given below to accept online payments through PayPal -
- Click on the "Settings" link at the top right corner.
- Click on the "Payment gateways" link under the "Payment Settings".
- Sign-up for a merchant account with PayPal. Ignore this step if you already have a merchant account.
- Specify the e-mail id associated with your PayPal account in the "PayPal E-mail ID" field. If you don't have an account, you can sign-up for one for free.
- If you want to be notified upon such online payments from customers, you can select "Notify me on online payments"
- If you want to send a thank-you mail automatically to your customers upon receiving such online payments, select "Send acknowledgement to customers."
- Click on the "Save" button to save the changes; alternatively you can click on "Save & Next" to save and proceed with the next setting.
That's it you are done, now you can receive payment online for your invoices. When we send invoices to your customers, we automatically append a payment link in the e-mail. Customers can click on that link to make online payments.
Note:
- We use SSL (Secured Socket Layer) encryption for all the transactions. The data is encrypted during transit.
- We don't store customer's credit card number or other payment details. We just forward these information to PayPal.
If you don't have a merchant account with PayPal, you can sign-up for one for free, the process is simple, you can find instructions about this at http://www.paypal.com

I signed up for a Paypal merchant acct. I added the email id to the payment settings page. Sent invoices are not including the Paypal link for online payments. Is this feature not being included in the free service or am I doing something wrong?

I am loving this app, and the potential to bolt on several of the complementary apps, BUT I'm committed to using a merchant account through LinkPoint. WHEN are you going to make it possible to accept payment through other servicers. Only using PayPal is very limiting (an expensive for the business), especially once a business has any volume in their transactions.
Hello,
Thanks for suggesting LinkPoint as a payment gateway. We have taken note of it in our TODO list. We have plans to support multiple payment gateways on zoho invoice. We will update you as we progress. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
